Privacy notice

The short version

This is a publication. It has no accounts, no logins, no comment system, no newsletter and no checkout. It does not ask you for a name, an email address or a wallet, and it cannot connect to a wallet. Reading it requires giving up nothing beyond what any web request necessarily reveals.

Server logs

Like nearly every web server, the host serving these pages records ordinary request information: the IP address the request came from, the time, the path requested, the response status, the referring page if the browser sends one, and the user-agent string. These logs exist for operational reasons — diagnosing errors, identifying abuse, understanding load — and are not used to build profiles of individual readers.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. It stores nothing in local storage or session storage. No consent banner appears because there is nothing to consent to. If a cookie ever appears in your browser from this domain, it was not set deliberately by the publication and we would like to hear about it through the contact page.

Third parties that receive a request

Pages load a small number of assets from external hosts, and loading an asset means that host receives a request containing your IP address and user-agent. As of the current build these are:

• jsDelivr — the Bootstrap stylesheet, icon font and JavaScript bundle.
• Google Fonts — the typefaces used across the site, served from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com.

Those providers operate under their own privacy terms, which this desk does not control. Blocking them with an extension will degrade the appearance of the pages but not their readability, since the text is plain HTML and is not injected by script.

Analytics and advertising

No analytics package, tag manager, heatmap tool, session recorder or advertising pixel is installed on this build. There are no display ads, no interstitials and no sponsored widgets. If measurement is ever added, this notice will be updated before it goes live, and it will name the provider.

Links to other sites

Some notes link to documentation, block explorers and, in a small number of clearly marked places, an external commercial product. Following any of those links takes you to a site with its own logging and its own policies. This notice covers only what happens on this domain.

Email

If you write to the address on the contact page, that message and your address are held for as long as needed to answer it and to keep a record of corrections. Correspondence is not added to any mailing list, is not sold, and is not shared except where the law requires it.

Changes

This notice describes the current build. Any change to the third parties listed above, or to the collection described here, is reflected on this page at the time the change ships rather than afterwards.
